The Liberia National Tourism Authority (LNTA) has received a mini-bus from the Ministry of Information to support the operations and mobility of the National Culture Troupe.
The vehicle was officially handed over to the LNTA on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, during a ceremony held in Monrovia.
Deputy Director General for Culture and Heritage, Hon. Steveson Seidi, received the vehicle on behalf of the Authority.
The bus, procured under the Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP) 2025, is expected to enhance the mobility of members of the National Culture Troupe as they participate in cultural performances, community engagements and outreach activities across Liberia.
According to the statement from LNTA official Facebook page dated October 7, 2026, the provision of the vehicle is also expected to strengthen the troupe’s ability to promote Liberia’s diverse cultural heritage and contribute to the development of cultural tourism.
With improved transportation, the National Culture Troupe will be better positioned to travel to communities and events across the country to showcase Liberia’s traditional music, dance and other forms of cultural expression.
The initiative is seen as part of broader efforts to preserve Liberia’s cultural heritage while using culture as a tool to promote tourism and national identity.
The LNTA continues to emphasize the importance of culture and heritage in promoting Liberia as a tourism destination and creating greater opportunities for cultural tourism.
