MONROVIA, Oct. 21 (LINA) – The Commissioner for Administration at the Liberia National Police (LNP) A. Ebreem Deline has cautioned officers to remain transparent as the LNP continues the verification process, so as to enable them to recruit professionals.

“We want professional people in the LNP, while it is true we need the numbers but we also want the best that will represent our institution out there. The process is not a personal thing to be selective about.”

He added that while the police normally take insults from the public, we do not want a situation where they will recruit unprofessional people, and all of the negative flashbacks start to reflect on them. That is while they are doing everything humanly possible to avoid such a situation which they have not encountered since the process began.

The Commissioner for administration at the Liberia National Police (LNP) A. Ebreem Deline made the statement on Monday, September 19, 2026 during the LNP regular Police briefing.

He at the same time disclosed that the aptitude test will begin in the latter part of November and will continue in the early part of December.

Commissioner Deline pointed out that to be qualified for the recruitment process, all applicants must pass in the physical test, written test, medical test and all other activities that are required.

According to him, the LNP is expected to recruit about six hundred persons from the first batch of applications, adding that the qualified candidates will be added to the second group which is expected to be eight hundred in number.

He stressed that the LNP already has the allocated funds for the training of the first six hundred recruits. They are also appealing to the government for the remaining funds for the next batch to enable the qualified candidates to be captured on payroll.

Deline disclosed that the LNP is now in the final face of the application process, since UNIMAL left, this is the first time the recruitment process is being taken to the people in all counties, acknowledging that comprehension counts a lot in the process.

Commissioner Deline cited that the process is divided into many regions, it was launched in Grand Bassa, while Maragibi, Grand Bassa and Rivercess have been completed under region one.

Region two include Bomi, Grand Cape, Gbarpolu counties, while region three constitutes Nimba, Lofa and Bong Counties.

He added that they are currently in the south east covering the rest of the counties, Grand Kru, Maryland, Sinoe, Grand Gedeh. He added that they are taking the recruitment to the people, because they do not want anyone interested to face difficulties while the verification process continues before the training begins.
