MONROVIA, May 20 (LINA) – The Government of Liberia through the Civil Service Agency (CSA), has enrolled employees of the Eternal Love Winning Africa (ELWA) Hospital into the Government of Liberia’s centralized payroll system.

The initiative, aimed at “Ensuring Merit and Efficiency in the Public Service”, is part of the continued fulfillment in the implementation of the “Health and Sanitation” pillar of the Government’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development, particularly the national vision to expand access to quality healthcare, improve public sector efficiency, and enhance the welfare of frontline workers across the country.

The successful onboarding of ELWA onto the Government’s centralized payroll through the collaboration of the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the CSA, demonstrates President Boakai’s intention of reinforcing confidence among healthcare professionals and strengthening service delivery within Liberia’s healthcare sector.

Through this endeavor, a total of three hundred four (304) employees of the ELWA has been processed and will be paid on the government’s payroll, at a total dollar value of One Hundred Four Thousand, Five Hundred Seventy-Four United States Dollars and Thirty-Six Cents (US$104,574.36), with provision also been made for the retroactive payment of ELWA hospital employees for the month of March 2026.

The Liberian Leader has lauded the CSA and the collaborating institutions, MOH and MFDP for their remarkable effort in implementing the scheme, noting that this initiative will go a long way in spreading the benefits of government’s support to the health sector.

The Civil Service Agency, in collaboration with the MFDP, is also taking the necessary administrative measures to ensure that all eligible employees receive their outstanding entitlements accordingly.

The President remains committed to continued reforms within the public service sector through expanding access to quality healthcare, improves public sector efficiency, and enhances the welfare of frontline workers across the country.
