Woman Faces Manslaughter Charge After Fiancé Dies In Domestic Incident

MONROVIA April 23 (LINA) – In a tragic turn of events, Annie Kollie, a 30-year-old woman, has been charged with manslaughter by the Liberia National Police following the death of her fiancé, Mitchell Nowah.

The incident occurred during a heated domestic dispute on the night of April 12, 2026, in their Brewerville residence, a confrontation that led to his death.

According to police reports, the altercation escalated when Nowah attempted to enter a locked bedroom where Kollie had been sleeping away from him for several weeks. 

Witnesses recount that tensions flared as Nowah forcefully entered, leading to a struggle where Kollie allegedly used a stone to strike him multiple times, resulting in his unconsciousness and eventual death.

Defendant Kollie is currently incarcerated at the Monrovia central prison awaiting court trial.
