Rabat, Morocco – January 23, 2025
The Liberia News Agency (LINA) has signed a Cooperation and Partnership Agreement with the Maghreb Arab Press Agency (MAP), marking a major milestone in strengthening international media collaboration.
The agreement is aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two institutions through the exchange of information and news content, while also promoting professional development. It includes provisions for the training of LINA journalists, technicians, and administrative staff.
The signing ceremony took place during the second day of the 8th General Assembly of the Federation of Atlantic African Press Agencies (FAAPA) in Rabat, Morocco.
The assembly, held under the theme “African News Agencies: A Vehicle for Promoting the Continent’s Health Sovereignty,” brought together media leaders from across the continent to discuss the role of news agencies in advancing Africa’s development agenda.
This partnership is expected to significantly boost LINA’s operational capacity, improve content delivery, and strengthen its global media presence, while deepening collaboration among African news agencies.
