MONROVIA, June 10 (LINA) – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has with immediate effect reinstated Christopher Sankolo and Alpha Gongolee to their positions at the Liberia Agriculture Commodity Regulatory Authority (LACRA).
Mr. Christopher Sankolo was reinstated as Director General while Mr. Alpha Gongolee as Deputy Director General for Operations, a LACRA release issued Tuesday, June 9, 2026, noted.
It can be recalled that in June 2025, Mr. Sankolo was suspended by the President for allegations of corruption and financial impropriety.
In addition, Mr. Gongolee was also alleged of authorizing Zeno Company to export cocoa without adhering to LACRA’s established regulatory protocols.
Meanwhile, the statement said that Mr. Adolphus Forkpa remains in his current position as Deputy Director General for Administration.
According to the release, the reinstatements take effect immediately.
