HARPER, April 13 (LINA) – Grand Kru County Senator Numene T. H. Bartekwa, has underscored the importance of unity and collaboration among citizens, local authorities, and members of the county’s legislative caucus as a key pathway to sustainable development.
Speaking at a recent gathering in the Newaken, Trehn Statutory District, Senator Bartekwa stressed that meaningful progress in Grand Kru can only be achieved when all stakeholders work together toward a shared vision.
He noted that disunity and lack of coordination among leaders and citizens often hinder development efforts, adding that a unified approach would accelerate the implementation of key projects and improve service delivery.
According to Senator Bartekwa, strengthening cooperation between the people and their leaders will not only enhance accountability but also ensure that development initiatives reflect the actual needs of communities across the county. He made the statement when he broke grounds for the construction of a town hall in Trehnboo Newaken.
Residents who attended the event welcomed the senator’s remarks, describing it as timely and reflective of the challenges facing the county.
Local officials also echoed the call for collaboration, emphasizing that joint efforts would help attract more development partners and maximize the impact of available resources.
Grand Kru County, one of Liberia’s southeastern counties, continues to face infrastructure and economic challenges, but Sen. Bartekwa remains optimistic that increased unity and collective action will pave the way for meaningful growth and transformation.
